It’s going to take some work for an Orlando area girls golf team to keep a 13-year streak of team titles alive on the final day of the FHSAA 1A state tournament at Mission Inn. Boys teams from The First Academy and Lake Mary Prep are in better position to claim a championship with 18 holes to go.

Among the Central Florida soccer winners on Monday were the Wekiva and Bishop Moore boys, and the Boone and Master’s Academy girls, while girls basketball preseason action started.

The Rams posted a two-day score of 600 to defeat runner-up Doral by 53 strokes. It’s their third straight title and 10th overall. It also extends Central Florida’s dominance in girls golf with at least one team state champ for the 19th consecutive season.
